It was a different vibe walking the grounds of the safari zone compared to out in the wilds of the world.

It wasn't his first rodeo; they'd had these back home, over in Fuschia. He rotated between the zen of the expansive safari zone and the turbulence of Koga's gym for weeks. When he'd finished all his business in Fuschia City, he remembered feeling like he almost didn't want to go.

This rendition of the S.Z. was a bit more focused.

He walked the grounds carefully, not knowing what to expect but knowing what he wanted and what he didn't.

With the intention to move quickly and not dawdle on what didn't catch his eye or pique his interest. The spider-like pokémon would be left behind.

With half his attention he walked on looking up the pokémon he'd just seen on dataDEX.

For the sake of efficiency he spawned two pokémon of his own from their pokéballs; Chansey and Ditto.

Walking along Sénon passed a pokémon playing with a stick in the brush. The Luxray line was not just extremely well balanced and well known in league battles it was majestic in appearance and to date Sénon was quite short on electric types. Even to him it was too cute to let go of.

"Hey Gan..." Luckily he'd seen it before it'd seen him. "TRANSFORM will ya?" From a crouch down he had Gan TRANSFORM and a ploy was set up.

Ditto!Shinx aggressively tussled and played with a crouching Sénon until it drew the attention of the wild one. For a small while the two younglings wrestled and played happily occasionally double teaming the trainer with their light biting and small-bodied tackling.

Before long Sénon stood and began to walk away and Gan followed. Wanting to keep playing and come along, the Shinx simply began to follow as well.

Setting down a pokéball and safari ball the Ditto!Shinx tapped the button on the pokéball being folded in by the red lights. With only the safari ball remaining the Shinx did the same, emulating the other and going inside the ball willingly.

Shinx activated the Safari Ball!

Crawling quite discreetly through the tall bushes only to emerge as low as the grass itself the Kantonian spotted an Anorith; one of the few pokémon brought back into the world via the fossil restoration process.

If his chef-ly prowess was a trade he inherited the drive for from his father, his knowledge of fossil-class pokémon was something he inherited an interest in, and learned about from his mother.

With a toss of another pokéball the anorith wouldn't notice the presence of a pokémon more 'shrimply' than itself. His foongus that left its own... flock? gathering? cropping? ...to be one of his. This was its first task and it wouldn't disappoint. "use STUN SPORE..." Bursting powder of gold into the air covered their immediate area.

Harmless to the landscape and foliage it proved to paralyzed the ancient bottom-feeder quite effectively as always. STUN SPORE was an old classic, that never ceased to deliver; three/fourths of the time. Second only to THUDER WAVE which was noticeably more accurate.

He rounded the corner to tap the immobilized anorith with a safari ball. Giving it a gentle petting to reassure it before the lights took it in.

Foongus used STUN SPORE; shiny!Anorith was paralyzed!

He knew what a castform was from his recent mission with the league. Cute as it was and versatile as it was, he wanted to keep looking, so he left it behind hoping to find something better, lest he regret passing up this one.

He if didn't find anything better, he'd capture the next one maybe, if he encountered another.

With an itching at the back of his mind he suddenly changed his mind using the same tactic again he made the attempt to capture the castform. Using Chansey as a distraction to keep the plucky castform occupied with a happy dance. "Use STUN SPORE, Foongus." The golden pollen dispersed covering only a minimal area that hit the castform disabling its movements.

Foongus used STUN SPORE; Castform was paralyzed!

Hitting it quickly with a safari ball he moved on, once the capture was confirmed. Happy to have the battlefield influencing castofrm on his side he hoped that with his last ball he might find something truly special.

Crimsen attempted to capture Castform!

The last capture before his Safari Balls were all occupied was a unique circumstance.

A small rodent pokémon wandered while he pocketed the newly captured Castform. Startled to see a human the little lady moved to flee kicking up the STUN SPOREs on the ground in the process and getting them all over her as she ran.

Rounding the corner Sénon figured he'd missed his chance to catch her but just as quickly as it rounded the corner he heard a cute little sneeze and coming around a different corner to not get caught in the kicked up spores he saw the mousey creature stuck and unable to move. "Well, Foongus it looks like you're my secret Safari Zone weapon now."

Foongus used STUN SPORE; Morpeko was paralyzed!

Falling out with its leg twitching Sénon tapped it with his last Safari Ball and made way to the exit.

Crimsen attempted to capture Morpeko!
